Mover Dudes was started in 2006 by Jon Eye, the company’s current president. Eye had been working for a self-storage company helping people move in and out of homes in Winchester, Virginia. After hearing about all of the difficulties and stresses people were consistently experiencing when moving, Eye decided that he wanted to help them. He envisioned a moving company that kept its word to the customer, was honest about costs, and relieved the common stresses of moving. Mover Dudes is now the reality of his vision.

The company started small in Winchester, Virginia, but with a small ad in the telephone book the company grew. Eye and his hard-working crew of movers began moving local residents out of the area, and before they knew it, the name “Mover Dudes” was catching on. Long-distance moves soon expanded into commercial moves after one year in business.
